repertoire
The repertoire ranges from pop, jazz and melodic rock to revival, swing, blues, dance, Latin American music, Italian music and contemporary music, as well as tracks suitable for themed parties. The line-up also includes vintage repertoire from the 1930s onwards, with particular attention paid to the costumes, atmosphere and mood of the event.
For weddings and receptions, a programme featuring a welcome reception, aperitifs, dinner, light entertainment and a more lively finale is ideal. For private and corporate parties, we can arrange themed set lists, requested songs, karaoke, dance sessions and a mix of background music and audience participation.
Experience and Features
Sweet & Sour is a musical duo comprising Silvia Recati and Sabrina Galeotti, two artists from Mugello who perform live music for weddings, birthdays, dinners, cocktail receptions, banquets, New Year’s Eve and themed parties. The project stems from the coming together of two complementary voices and a strong focus on the versatility of their repertoire.
The package can be tailored to suit elegant, convivial or dance-oriented occasions: a welcome reception, pre-dinner drinks, dinner, themed entertainment, retro nights, karaoke and parties. The core line-up consists of vocals, with the option to expand the line-up depending on the event, including piano, violin, a DJ or other specified arrangements.
For the Lyrium slot, the vocal-and-piano duo/trio format is highlighted, as the project states that it is available as a duo, trio or quartet, with the option of adding a piano. The profile is, however, presented as a vocal duo, so as not to lose sight of the project’s true identity.
Equipment and logistics
Equipment and assembly times
The core line-up performs as a vocal duo; for specific events, it can be expanded to include a piano, violin, DJ or additional musicians. The line-up should be finalised based on the date, duration, number of guests, whether the venue is indoors or outdoors, the need for sound amplification and microphones, the space available, the power supply and set-up times.
For themed parties and weddings, it is a good idea to agree in advance on any costumes, the requested set list, key moments, the location of the band’s set-up, and coordination with the venue, caterers or wedding planner.
Accessibility and parking
It is helpful to have easy access to the set-up area, parking or a loading bay for equipment and instruments, a nearby power socket, covered space if the event is outdoors, fixed times for set-up and sound checks, guidance on noise limits, and a contact person at the venue during the event.
Other logistical requirements
The project is based in Florence and focuses on events in the Florence area and central Italy. In Lyrium, the main province recorded is Florence, in line with the project’s geographical scope and the target audience for the slot.
The indicative fee quoted is between 300 and 1,000 euros. The actual fee depends on the line-up chosen, the duration, the type of event, whether a piano, violin or DJ is required, the sound system needed, the distance, the number of sets, the timetable and the organisational complexity.
