repertoire
The repertoire combines Italian and international tracks, spanning soul, funk, blues, jazz, pop, rock, gospel, folk, revival and contemporary music. The vocal and guitar line-up allows for nimble, warm and distinctive arrangements, with a style suited to both sophisticated background music and more engaging moments.
For ceremonies and receptions, the programme can be tailored to the key moments of the event. Requests for pieces not in the repertoire are possible, particularly if notified in advance: for a larger number of additional pieces, it is preferable to allow a preparation period of around one or two weeks.
Experience and Features
Soulty Duo is an acoustic duo from Bergamo formed around the combination of Fiona Di Santo’s vocals and Nicola Balduzzi’s guitar. The project stems from a love of soul, blues and funk sounds, with an elegant, warm approach that is suited both to more intimate moments and to situations where a stronger musical presence is required.
The package is designed for weddings, ceremonies, civil ceremonies, pre-dinner drinks, lunches, dinners, private and corporate events, venues, resorts and live settings where a compact line-up can add character without taking up too much space. The duo has experience in weddings, private events, party bands, theatre, venues and cruise ships, with more than 500 live performances under their belt.
It’s at its best in situations where atmosphere, attention to the repertoire and a distinctive sound are required: welcome drinks, ceremonies, pre-dinner drinks, elegant dinners, private parties, corporate events or a night out at a venue.
Equipment and logistics
Equipment and assembly times
The duo can perform using their own equipment and, where required, with a sound system suitable for the occasion. A typical set-up includes vocals, a microphone, a guitar and an amplifier, with set-up and sound-check times generally taking around 30–45 minutes.
To organise the service properly, we need the date, venue, type of event, approximate number of guests, the parts of the event to be accompanied, the timetable, the location of the music area, availability of electricity, any noise restrictions, cover arrangements if the event is outdoors, and details of any key pieces of music.
Accessibility and parking
Before the event, the following must be checked: access for loading and unloading, technical parking, the distance between the car park and the performance area, a nearby power supply, shelter from the sun or rain if the event is outdoors, any space restrictions, arrival times at the venue, and the on-site operations coordinator.
Other logistical requirements
Based in Bergamo, with a willingness to travel. The quote will be determined based on distance, duration, number of sets, any changes of location, repertoire requests, timings, access to the venue and technical requirements.
This package is ideal for weddings, ceremonies, receptions, private events, corporate events, cocktail parties, hotels, resorts, venues and live settings where a refined yet unobtrusive musical presence is required. For larger ensembles, it is possible to consider adding elements such as drums, saxophone, piano or other instruments.
