Experience and Features

Giosuè D'Asta is an organist, pianist, composer and choir director based in Palermo. His career began in sacred and liturgical music and focuses on weddings, solemn ceremonies, civil ceremonies, private events and live classical musical accompaniment.

This role is particularly suitable when the ceremony requires a competent musical director who can oversee the selection of pieces, liaise with the church or venue, check the availability of the instrument, and organise an alternative arrangement should the organ be unsuitable.

In addition to performing as a soloist, he can put together larger-scale arrangements featuring a solo voice, a solo instrument, a string quartet or a polyphonic choir. This flexibility makes it possible to maintain a more intimate setting for a private celebration, or to create a more solemn musical atmosphere for churches, concert halls and institutional settings.

Equipment and logistics

Equipment and assembly times

During religious services, the church organ is normally used. If the instrument is unavailable, out of order or unsuitable, a professional portable liturgical organ may be provided, with dedicated technical support for transport, assembly, connections, sound checks and dismantling.

For civil ceremonies and receptions, the use of a professional digital piano may be considered. Where the event requires a grand piano or other external instruments, the hire arrangements must be coordinated with a specialist company, taking into account transport, handling, tuning and technical requirements.

The final set-up depends on the church or venue, the chosen formation, the available space, the acoustics, the availability of electricity and any site-specific constraints.

Accessibility and parking

For portable organs, digital pianos or ensembles featuring a choir and strings, it is necessary to provide convenient access for unloading, technical parking, a clear route to the performance area, a nearby power supply, a permanent space for musicians and instruments, rehearsal time and a contact person on site.

Other logistical requirements

We are based in Palermo, but are also available for ceremonies and events outside the province where the date, staff, equipment and logistics permit. Our services can cover church weddings, civil ceremonies, receptions, private events, formal celebrations, institutional occasions and classical music events.

Before confirming, it is advisable to finalise the venue for the ceremony, the availability and condition of the organ, whether a portable organ or digital piano is required, the number of musicians involved, the timetable, access arrangements, the venue layout, the contact person at the church or venue, and the set-up time.

The quote varies depending on the training required, the duration, travel arrangements, any additional equipment, the complexity of the venue and the level of coordination required with the parish or venue.
